Bus Tour of Brooklyn & Manhattan
Let’s go on a journey through two of NYC’s most famous boroughs. Seeing all the great sites and leaving with an unforgettable experience of the City that Never Sleeps. Viewing and Exploring New York's, most famous AND the most populous boroughs.
This tour can begin in Brooklyn where we’ll start with a drive through the neighborhood of DUMBO. Stop at Brooklyn Heights where we will take in the majestic views of the Brooklyn Bridge. Then we’ll move on to Lower Manhattan seeing the general highlights of this great city. This tour is fully customizable within Brooklyn and Manhattan, tailored just to your specifications.
Longer Bus Tour of Manhattan
Do you want to see the city’s most famous historical sites from a local’s perspective? Let’s go on a journey through Manhattan, NYC’s most famous borough.
Along the way we will hit all the great sites, learn local history and leave with an unforgettable experience of the Big Apple. Beginning in Midtown Manhattan, we see such sights as: - The Empire State Building, Times Square, Grand Central Terminal, Macy's and others. Into Lower Broadway for Wall Street, the Canyon of Heroes - the site of NYC’s notable ticker tape parades. Then, a stop at the site of the World Trade Center.
Several optional stops are available over the six hours of this tour. We will see as much as the city’s famous traffic allows. All according to your customized needs. What are you waiting for? Let’s explore the city together!
A Special Day! Walk + Bus Tour of Manhattan
We will start in Lower Manhattan. Walk along Lower Broadway, the Canyon of Heroes. see the Charging Bull, Wall Street, Federal Hall, Trinity Church and Alexander Hamilton’s grave site. Walk to the WTC site. About a 90 minute lunch, downtown. Then bus to Midtown.
- Via the East Side, seeing the Lower East Side, Chinatown, the East Village and the UN.
- Via the West side, seeing the High Line Park, Hudson River, new Whitney Museum of American Art, Meat Packing District and Chelsea.
- Stop at Rockefeller Center, for 5th Ave, FAO Schwartz and St Patrick’s Cathedral.
- Stop by Central Park, for the Apple store, Tiffany’s, Trump Tower and the Plaza Hotel with the Eloise store.
- Final stop in Times Square, for last minute souvenirs.
Walking Tour of Central Park
Explore New York's backyard! - The Landscape Masterpiece of Frederick Law Olmsted and Calvert Vaux. See New York City's very special place, in three hours. We will meet by the Plaza Hotel and see the southern third of this wonderful place.
Sights include: The Central Park zoo, Parks Dept HQ in the Arsenal Building, Children’s Zoo, Balto the Dog statue, Elm tree grove, Literary Walk, Bethesda Fountain, The Lake and Strawberry Field. You will see the park like you have never seen it before. Join me.
Walking Tour of Lower Broadway
Starting in Battery Park / Battery Park City in Lower Manhattan. See the Harbor. View the Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island, Hudson River, NJ, Staten Island, Brooklyn, Verrazano - Narrows Bridge, Upper Bay, the Narrows and Governor’s Island. All in New York Harbor.
Walk along historic lower Broadway, the Canyon of Heroes, where NYC was founded. See the Bull, Wall Street, Federal Hall and Trinity Church. Then the World Trade Center site.
Walking Tour over The Brooklyn Bridge
Learn the marvelous story, of the building of this bridge. Why did it take almost 14 years to complete? Designing it, building it, celebrating it and those that died for it. It changed the City of New York and the City of Brooklyn forever.
Viewing and Exploring the city from the pedestrian path of the historic, engineering marvel of a bridge. Opened in 1883, it connects the once independent city of Brooklyn, to Manhattan.
We will walk, explore and see the sites, along the Brooklyn Bridge and I'll let you know the history of those sites. Then, it’s on to the neighborhoods of Brooklyn Heights and/or DUMBO.
Jewish Walking Tour of NYC's Lower East Side
Let's see the Old Neighborhood because it doesn't look like this anymore! At the turn of the 20th century, NY's Lower East Side was the most crowded place on Earth.
Jews arrived in what was then called New Amsterdam in the 1650's. Along our route, we will see how the Jewish people helped to shape the 20th century!
This private walk shows the historic sites of NY's Lower East Side.
Highlights include:
- Food at the start, food at the end, History in between.
- A former shul that is now a residence
- Tenements
- Yiddish newspapers
- My grandfather's old residence.
High Line Park
A unique and beautiful place in New York. Once a freight Rail Line, now 1.5m/2.4km park. See the native plants and wildflowers, in the heart of the former manufacturing and wharf district.
I will also tell the story of the West Side Cowboy and 'Death Avenue', where he is riding.
Now, a public park that was saved from demolition. Today, we see new housing and wonderful architecture.
We will get to all of that and the history that remains.
